Working together
What kind of clients do you work with?
I work with small and medium businesses, schools, non-profits, and organisations that need clear numbers to make decisions. Some clients need a one-off analysis, others need regular monthly reporting.
How does a project start?
We begin with a short conversation about what decision you need to make and what data you already have. After that I send a written scope that states the deliverables, the timeline, and the fee. Work begins once you approve it.
How long does an analysis take?
A focused piece of work, such as a budget review or a profitability analysis, usually takes one to two weeks. Larger projects with several data sources take longer. You will get a timeline in the scope before anything begins.
How do you charge?
Fees are either a fixed price per project or a monthly retainer for ongoing work. I do not bill by surprise hours. The fee is agreed in writing before work starts, and any change to the scope is discussed with you first.
Financial analysis
What financial analysis services do you offer?
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Profitability and cost analysis
- Review of financial statements
- Financial models for new projects or investments
Which financial documents do you need from me?
It depends on the project, but these are the most common:
- Income statements and balance sheets
- Bank and mobile money statements
- Sales and expense records
- Current budgets or past forecasts
If your records are incomplete or untidy, that is fine. I can help organise them as part of the work.
Can you help if my records are not well kept?
Yes. Many clients come to me with records spread across notebooks, spreadsheets, and statements. I will clean and structure the data first, and tell you what is missing, so the analysis rests on numbers you can trust.
Business analysis
What is the difference between financial and business analysis?
Financial analysis looks at the money: income, costs, cash, and returns. Business analysis looks at how the organisation works: its operations, customers, pricing, and processes, and where they can improve. Most projects combine both, because money problems often start as process problems.
Will I get recommendations, or only reports?
Both. Every report ends with clear recommendations ranked by impact and effort, so you know what to do first. I can also walk your team through the findings in a meeting.
Can you build dashboards or tools so I can track the numbers myself?
Yes. I can build dashboards and simple data tools that update as your data changes, so you can track sales, spending, or survey results without waiting for a new report.
Data and confidentiality
Is my financial information kept confidential?
Yes. Your data is used only for your project, is never shared with third parties, and is stored securely. I am happy to sign a confidentiality agreement before you send any documents.
What happens to my data when the project ends?
You decide. I can return your files and delete my copies, or keep them securely for a set period in case you need follow-up work. Either way, it is agreed in writing.
What do I receive at the end?
A written report in plain language, the supporting spreadsheets or models, and a summary of recommendations. I also stay available for questions after delivery so that you can act on the findings with confidence.
